I feel as though I was weaving through an intimate tapestry after having been invited into that space, making sure to take my shoes off first before I enter the sanctuary.
I read it, then listened to it, then did both. I don't know why some pieces can be so powerful when accompanied by voiceover and some not, but this, this that you've shared so generously, it was so beautiful and powerful listening to your gorgeous voice and reading along with it. I kept making non-word sounds meaning "ooh, that landed!" and "Ohhhh my." It felt like riding a perfect wave.
I often forget that I need to greet the words that come when they're ready and being offered to me and not go trying to harness them in linear time, and reading your process is invaluable.
I feel like I'm starting my day with a prayer and a song wrapped in texture and warmth.

I didn't know what to expect from your return to the pen. And mind you, my soul is sensitive. The first thing that got me was that photo at the top of this piece. I couldn't take my eyes off it. Something about the couple, the pixels, jolted me, and I sat with it longer than I usually sit with any image.
Then I got to reading about your process on this one and I was tickled, smiling the whole way through, learning how the actual pen played such a huge part, how you let flow come before you moved forward.
Then I got to the piece itself (honestly, I debated just listening to the voiceover, but I wanted the words to hit me the way I needed to hear them first. Don't worry, I'll come back for your intent later). The words, the poem, felt different from your usual work. I came loose, my emotions twisting up like a pretzel. You are moving on a different frequency and I love this joy for you. I envied it a little, but it also gave me hope for my own new beginnings.
